Creating Your Account

Setting up your Optionomics account is quick and easy. Follow this guide to get started with professional options analytics.

Registration Methods

You can create an account using:

1. Email Registration: Sign up with your email address and password
2. Google OAuth: One-click signup with your Google account

Step-by-Step Registration

Method 1: Email Registration

1. Visit the Registration Page
   • Go to optionomics.ai/users/sign_up
   • Click “Get started”
2. Enter Your Information
   • Email address: Your primary email
   • Password: Minimum 8 characters
   • Full name: Your display name
   • Phone number (optional): For SMS alerts (Gamma+ plans)
3. Accept Terms
   • Read and accept Terms of Service
   • Review Privacy Policy
   • Acknowledge risk disclaimer
4. Verify Your Email
   • Check your inbox for verification email
   • Click the verification link
   • Account is activated automatically
5. Choose Your Subscription
   • Select your plan (Delta, Gamma, Theta, or Vega)
   • Enter payment information
   • Start using the platform immediately

Method 2: Google Sign-Up

1. Click “Sign up with Google” on the registration page
2. Select your Google account from the popup
3. Grant permissions (email and basic profile only)
4. Choose your subscription plan
5. Enter payment information
6. Start trading - no email verification needed for OAuth

Account Security

Account Management

After registration, manage your account from the account settings:

Update Account Information

• Change your email address
• Update your display name
• Add or update phone number
• Change your password

Manage Subscription

• View current plan
• Upgrade or downgrade plans
• Update payment method
• View billing history
• Cancel subscription

Manage API Keys (Vega Plan)

• Generate new API keys
• Set expiration dates
• Delete unused keys
• View API usage

Favorites & Watchlist

• Add stocks to your watchlist
• Organize your favorites
• Quick access to tracked symbols

Account Recovery

If you lose access to your account:

Forgot Password

1. Click “Forgot Password” on the login page
2. Enter your registered email address
3. Check your email for reset link
4. Click the link and create a new password
5. Log in with your new password

Note: Reset links expire after 6 hours for security.

Account Locked

If your account is locked due to too many failed login attempts:

1. Wait 1 hour for automatic unlock, OR
2. Use “Forgot Password” to reset and unlock immediately, OR
3. Contact support@optionomics.ai for manual unlock

Email Access Issues

If you no longer have access to your registered email:

1. Contact support@optionomics.ai
2. Provide your account details
3. Verify your identity (payment information, account history)
4. Our team will help update your email

Privacy & Data Protection

We take your privacy seriously:

• Subscription and payment data (processed by Stripe)

Upgrading or Downgrading

You can change your plan anytime:

To Upgrade

1. Go to Account → Subscription
2. Click “Change Plan”
3. Select higher tier plan
4. Confirm upgrade
5. Takes effect immediately (prorated billing)

To Downgrade

1. Go to Account → Subscription
2. Click “Change Plan”
3. Select lower tier plan
4. Confirm downgrade
5. Takes effect at next billing cycle

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your subscription anytime:

How to Cancel

1. Go to Account → Subscription
2. Click “Cancel Subscription”
3. Confirm cancellation
4. Your subscription remains active until the end of current billing period

After Cancellation

• Access: Available until period ends
• Data retention: We keep your data for 30 days
• Reactivation: You can resubscribe anytime
• No penalties: No cancellation fees

What Happens to Your Data

• Account remains in system (inactive)
• Favorites and watchlist preserved
• Custom alerts disabled
• API keys deactivated

Common Registration Issues

Email Not Received

Problem: Didn’t receive verification email

Solutions:

• Check spam/junk folder
• Wait 5-10 minutes (email delays can occur)
• Check you entered correct email address
• Click “Resend verification email” on login page
• Contact support if still not received

Payment Declined

Problem: Credit card declined during signup

Solutions:

• Verify card details are correct
• Check card has sufficient funds
• Contact your bank (may be blocking international charge)
• Try a different card
• Contact support@optionomics.ai for help

Google OAuth Issues

Problem: Can’t sign in with Google

Solutions:

• Clear browser cookies and cache
• Try a different browser
• Make sure you’re using the correct Google account
• Check popup blockers aren’t blocking OAuth window
• Use email registration as alternative

Password Too Weak

Problem: Password rejected during signup

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 characters
• Must contain letters and numbers
• Avoid common passwords

Tips:

• Use a password manager
• Create a unique password for this account
• Don’t reuse passwords from other sites
